Founder & President

Prior to founding Revenue Matters in 2009, Trevor defined revenue management strategies, including developing pricing and distribution approaches for both Sage Hospitality Resources and Destination Hotels & Resorts. He was also responsible for the account management function for the Americas Region at Sabre Hospitality Solutions.
Trevor co-authored the first college-level textbook about revenue management that is currently being used for teaching this discipline around the world. He is an active member of the International Society of Hospitality Consultants and was both a founding member of the HSMAI Revenue Management Advisory Board and former chair of the association’s Digital Marketing Council. Recognized by HSMAI as one of the hospitality industry’s top 25 minds in sales and marketing, Trevor sets the cultural course, provides the strategic direction, and oversees the performance for each of the company’s three operating groups—revenue management, distribution, and marketing.

Prior to joining the Revenue Matters team, Kathryn was with a small hospitality marketing company for eight years where she strengthened her marketing skillset. She has more than 30 years of both on-property hotel and resort experience, plus agency experience. Kathryn has previously held positions as Director of Revenue Management at Wild Dunes Resort, Isle of Palms, SC, plus The Park Hotel and South Park Suite Hotel in Charlotte, NC. Her extensive hospitality background combined with her marketing expertise allows her to create and manage unique marketing initiatives on your behalf that are designed to yield the highest possible return on investment.
Sr. Director of Revenue Strategies

Prior to joining the Revenue Matters team in August 2014, Chris spent five years with several Hilton properties in both revenue management and sales. He is accountable for proactively driving revenues for our clients as well as being the leader of our analyst team. Chris is equally comfortable working within the 5-star luxury segment as he is with resorts, city properties, and independent boutique properties. His quiet demeanor and keen intellect allow him to quickly read and understand what needs to be done, while his professional, yet easy-going communication style allows him to communicate complex ideas in a very understandable way. Chris is an expert in StayNTouch, Windsurfer, Synxis, iHotelier, Demand360, Rate360, and OTAinsights.
Director of Revenue Strategies

Prior to joining the Revenue Matters team in November 2018, Shayla spent three years in the role of Revenue and Reservations Manager at Grandover Resort in North Carolina. There, she skillfully strategized to optimize room revenue for transient reservations and assisted the sales department with group pricing and displacement analysis, in addition to managing all distribution channels. Eager to develop and implement revenue management strategies designed to positively impact revenue performance at your property, Shayla is an expert in both iHotelier and SynXis central reservation systems and has played a pivotal role in transitioning resorts from one CRS to another.
Sr. Director of Revenue Strategies

Prior to joining the Revenue Matters team in January 2019, Amanda spent fifteen years working with luxury resorts, city-center hotels and select service properties. She has previously worked for Loews Hotels, Starwood Hotels and Resorts, Disney Resorts, and multiple independent properties where she was able to bring her experience and expertise to provide leadership, improve guest satisfaction scores, and implement efficient, cost-saving technology and business processes for the benefit of each property. An expert at Opera and SynXis, Amanda loves getting to know each of her clients and coming up with creative ways to maximize revenue.
Marketing Analyst
Prior to joining the Revenue Matters team in February 2014, Dana spent fifteen years in the hospitality industry working as marketing coordinator and social media manager for Destination Hotels & Resorts. She has gained experience in many aspects of marketing, including copywriting and editing of direct mail, email and website content, managing the execution of direct mail and email campaigns, as well as managing social media outlets for clients in the hospitality industry. As an analyst, Dana also provides daily and weekly updates to our MAX system, updates weekly rates and restrictions in both PMS and CRS platforms plus builds rates, value adds, and updates property data in both the booking engines and third-party OTAs. She is highly skilled in SynXis, Springer Miller and StayNTouch.
Director of Marketing

Prior to joining the Revenue Matters team in June 2020, Catherine spent thirteen years specializing in digital marketing for independent Caribbean resort properties. She has a passion for strengthening customer relationships and increasing engagement, as well as measuring and reporting on the successes of integrated marketing programs. Catherine has helped design CRM programs for independent resort properties to build awareness, increase loyalty and produce revenue. She is expert in many CRM systems including NAVIS, Revinate, TravelClick GMS and Guestfolio, as well as WordPress.

Prior to joining the Revenue Matters team in March 2019, Mali was responsible for generating significant additional revenues and gross operating profit for The Dunhill in Charlotte, NC. Mali brings with her thirteen years of customer service experience and seven years of hospitality operations leadership experience. She enjoys learning unique details about your property that help you stand out from competition upon which she uses to build creative strategies to drive profitable revenue. Mali is an Opera and IDeaS systems expert with multi-property experience in system implementations and best practices.
Revenue Analyst

Prior to joining the Revenue Matters team in April 2020, Brian spent fifteen years supporting property sales teams, hotel executives, and individual residential unit owners through market trend analysis and competitive intelligence research. He has experience in both group and leisure sales plus centralized reservations management for a group of luxury independent properties. An expert at Springer Miller SMS, Brian brings a well-rounded view of what it takes for a hospitality operation to be successful and has a thoughtful and caring approach combined with in-depth systems knowledge.
Creative Director
Prior to joining the Revenue Matters team in July 2020, Harshad spent ten years in the hospitality industry at MPA Digital as a creative director. With an extensive creative and technical background, including website development, SEO and graphic design, he has had a major impact on developing creative integrated campaigns and designing top-performing websites. Harshad’s technical skills are vast, and his desire to learn about and truly understand a client’s needs are unprecedented. Harshad holds certifications for Google AdWords Fundamentals, Google Analytics and Individual Qualification and Google Mobile Sites.
Sr. Revenue Analyst
Prior to joining the Revenue Matters team in June 2011, Lisa spent four years at Wild Dunes Resort in many roles including Reservations Manager. In this capacity, Lisa was responsible for direct bookings at the 325-unit resort property, in addition to maintaining appropriate staffing levels, training, forecasting and managing all aspects of the property management system. As a key member of our analyst team, Lisa helped to roll out Revenue Matters’ interactive analytics platform, MAX, while working closely with the developers and the Directors of Revenue Strategy to ensure ease of use and accuracy of data. She is responsible for assisting the directors in the weekly pace updates, rate/restriction changes in various property management systems, as well as building and mapping of rate plans, packages and content in distribution channels. Lisa is an expert in numerous systems including SynXis CRS, iHotelier CRS, Opera PMS, WebRezPro PMS, StayInTouch PMS, InnRoad PMS, Maestro PMS, IDeaS RMS, OTA Insight and Travel, and all third-party extranets (Expedia, Booking.com, Airbnb, Inntopia).
Research Specialist
Prior to joining the Revenue Matters team in November 2018, Gina spent more than ten years with firms such as Classic Marketing and InfoUSA. She is responsible for analyzing new opportunities relating to distribution, list procurement, database reviews, and market and competitive intelligence. Gina collects client PMS data needed to update our proprietary MAX platform, along with creating rate plans, making rate changes, working with OTA partners and offering marketing suggestions.

Before joining the Revenue Matters team in April 2021, Stephanie spent more than twenty years in the hospitality industry, having worked with brands such as Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt, Starwood, and many boutique hotels. Stephanie has had many successes throughout the years including “Revenue Leader of the Year” for Renaissance Hotels, and “Opening Revenue Leader of the Year” for John Q. Hammons hotels. Her greatest strengths are creativity, innovation, team building, and determination. Her experience in all types of markets, such as airports, highly seasonal, suburban, resort, and major markets, keeps her mind open to fresh and innovative new ideas. Stephanie also has years of experience in operations and sales which gives her a true understanding of the strategic business needs of a property.
Social Media Manager
Prior to joining the Revenue Matters team in January 2010, Cathy taught elementary school for eleven years and was nominated for Disney’s “Teacher of the Year” award. An expert in social media best practices, performance and trends, Cathy is focused on managing social mediaon your behalf. She works with clients across several industry verticals to improve online business communications and engagement on social media platforms. Cathy stays up to date on the cutting-edge world of social media and leverages that knowledge to build value for our clients. While being passionate about the social media space, what truly excites her are the connections that result from the proper use of these social tools. Cathy’s goal is to help you build these connections and nurture them into relationships that will eventually grow your bottom line.

Prior to joining the Revenue Matters team in August 2019, Jill spent seventeen years with Remington Hotels working in numerous capacities including sales, revenue management and operations. She has supported multiple properties in all regions of the country, with proven success in building revenues by leading sales and revenue teams through evaluation of market conditions, competitive analysis, and strategy. With experience in all major market segments, she understands the inner workings and drivers for corporate and group hotels in addition to destination properties. Jill has a passion for the hotel industry and loves to collaborate to help you achieve your revenue goals.
Revenue Analyst
Prior to joining the Revenue Matters team in July 2021, Paul spent 30 years in the hospitality industry working in a multitude of Management and Director positions for independent hotels and resorts in several different markets across the country. For the last six years, Paul was the Area Director of Revenue Management for three hotels in Durham, NC. At the Washington Duke Inn & Golf Club, he developed the revenue management business processes which carried the property to a record-setting year for transient revenue in 2019. Paul is an expert at Maestro, Opera, iHotelier, SynXis, TravelClick Hotelligence, and IDeaS.
Director of Commercial Strategy
Prior to joining Revenue Matters in March 2022, Dani spent several years working with iconic luxury resorts and boutique hotels such as Arizona Biltmore, Hotel del Coronado, and Hotel Californian. She has held leadership roles in operations, sales, and revenue management, and has a history of successfully driving revenue with sustained financial growth. She is also known for successfully integrating systems and implementing processes for better efficiency. She enjoys getting to know her properties and helping them to achieve their goals. Dani is an expert in Maestro, Hilton OnQ systems, SynXis, Delphi, TravelClick, OTA Insight, and Extranets.
Revenue Analyst
Prior to joining the Revenue Matters team in January 2014, Beth previously held a career as an attorney where her attention to detail served her well. At Revenue Matters, she plays a vital role in ensuring that data and reporting is produced accurately and in a timely manner while is also responsible for compiling distribution reviews and updating content, rates, and promotions across various distribution channels. Beth’s ability to problem solve makes her an excellent team player when it comes to brainstorming and collaborating with other team members. She is expert in StayNTouch, SynXis, iHotelier, and Infor HMS.
Director of Revenue Strategies
Emily Bowen is a 20-year veteran of the hospitality industry, with executive leadership experience in revenue strategy at full-service independent properties. Her extensive professional development has expanded her property advisory and functional roles into areas of revenue management, distribution, and digital marketing, and she has served as an Adjunct Instructor for hospitality revenue optimization at Penn State University’s School of Hospitality Management.
Emily holds a degree in Recreation, Parks, and Tourism Management from Pennsylvania State University and is currently pursuing her master’s degree in Corporate Innovation and Entrepreneurship. She holds multiple certifications from HSMAI and is a past recipient of their Revenue Management Professional of the Year award.
Emily is passionate about storytelling and connecting travel with purpose. She is an avid sports fan, cheering most often for her teenagers and of course, for the Nittany Lions. She is most relaxed at the beach and has recently taken up paddleboarding and growing fresh fruit.
Director of Revenue Strategy and Commercial Analytics
Prior to joining the Revenue Matters team in April 2024, Alex spent fifteen years working in revenue management and distribution for Strawberry Hotels in the Nordics. This included managing key M&E and City Center properties across the Capital cities and growing into a team leader with responsibility for properties across Denmark and Southern Sweden. Alex has extensive experience within the distribution and commercial analytics team building strategies impacting the company’s 200+ properties. Alex is particularly adept at applying his knowledge of commercial strategy, distribution, and revenue management to drive profitability.
Director of Revenue Strategies, CHA, CHT
Prior to joining the Revenue Matters team in September 2023, Chris spent 15 Years with Best Western Hotels and Resorts with roles in Property Revenue Management, Quality Assurance, and Operations. Chris not only focuses on achieving the revenue goals of a property but also takes into consideration the operational impact these strategies may have along with their contribution to overall profitability. Having worked with a diverse group of urban and rural properties that range from select to full-service, Chris has gained extensive knowledge of most US and Canadian Markets. Chris prides himself on his ability to build strong working relationships and to closely partner with property teams to effectively impact performance.
Paid Search Specialist
Prior to joining the Revenue Matters team in June 2020, Matt spent nearly twenty years in pay-per-click advertising, uniquely specializing in the hospitality industry. He is a Google Ads Specialist and excels at managing profitable campaigns on behalf of all our clients. Matt’s experience ranges from the small boutique to household brand names, throughout the US and the Caribbean.
